Megan Ferguson developed her passion for historical photography from her father, assisting in maintaining the historical photographic collection for the historical Moonta Mines area in South Australia. She is currently expanding her passion of historical photography with learning the traditional photographic crafts of gelatin dry glass plate negatives and tintype imaging while maintaining her love for film photography. To develop and expand her photographic skills Megan has completed the Diploma in Photo Imaging at the Centre for Creative Photography in Adelaide. Her studies have opened up to Megan the light & colour spectrums, which have been explored from infrared photography to the blue sensitive of gelatin dry glass plates.
Travel is Megan’s second passion, travelling to the seven continents of the world has allowed her to explore her first passion of photography further. In the upcoming Opus Photo Exhibition, Megan is revisiting her vast collection of travel photography to explore the portraiture of wild animals. This exhibition is a coming together of seven photographers who have studied at the Centre for Creative Photography to showcase their photographic styles.
